An absolute Masterpiece and probably the only one in existence.
Made by a luthier called Hunt who was possibly a pupil of Peter Wamsley.
It has red spirit varnish and is branded HUNT on the back button.
A new bass bar has been made and fitted as the original was carved from the back (integrated bass bar) so is much more resonant.
A sound post patch was fitted to the back many moons ago and repaired well.
She is in very good order for an instrument that is around 270 years old.
Professionally set up with new bridge, Larsen strings and wittner fine tuners.
Beautiful tone and incredibly rare.
