I have just had this returned from my Austrian Luthier.
The cello is all original, even the varnish. She had work to the front and a new bass bar. The mid section of the belly was very thin, so a very fine plate was attached from top to bottom. The sound and tone is absolutely sensational and the whole cello is strong and tight with no repairs at all to back and ribs.
The instrument was professionally set up with Evah Pirazzi strings.

The luthier is believed to be from Manchester around 1880.

A fine full sized cello of English heritage.
